Meet The Moons

Well hi there! We are the Moons: Klisty, Duffy, Maddie, Dylan, Kelsey, and Penelopoppy. There are a few dogs and a snake mixed in as well, but for now, we'll stick with the humans. We appreciate you checkin' out the Moon Baby Blog. We're so excited to share this experience with you! Klisty is the "keeper of the blog" and she does all of the posting. Duffy does the boring, technical stuff (yawn) and each of our kiddos wrote a little introduction. We figured, what the heck, you might as well get to know us if you're gonna be reading all about our baby adventure. So...meet the Moons:
I'm Klisty and I am a fifth grade teacher. I absolutely love teaching. When my students and I had a conversation about me being pregnant, one of them informed me that "he knew because my stomach has gotten bigger". I'm not actually showing yet. Sigh.

I am so excited about having this baby. A little scared too, we are starting completely over, but excited more than anything. I never thought I would be having another baby. God has blessed me in more ways than I ever thought possible. This truly is our little "miracle baby".

Don't believe in miracles - depend on them.

How the heck did THIS happen!  I kid, I kid.

My name is Duffy and I spend my days working on the radio.  I love it.  You know what else I love?  I love being a Daddy!  I have three great kids already and our newest arrival is sure to make a spectacular addition.

All kidding aside, I feel extremely blessed to be where I am today.  Klisty is an extraordinary mother to our girls and our son.  I truly can't wait to see her holding our baby GIRL (or boy) in late October.  I'm "over the moon" with excitement to be going through this with such a wonderful woman and such incredible kids.  What more could a fat disc jockey ask for?
.
Hello, my name is Maddie and I'm the eldest of the Moon children. I'm 17, a senior at Clovis High School, and what they call fresh meat at the University of New Mexico as of August 2012! There's much more to me, but hey, this blog is not about me; this is about Penelopoppy.
No matter what the baby is, boy or girl, I am positive that it will have my entire heart. Although I'm a bit older than this little stinker, I know that no matter the distance or the age gap, the baby will still be part of my family. It will share some of my characteristics, some of my personality.
Penelopoppy has already brought our family closer, and once he/she is born we will have to work as a team to raise it. This baby is a beautiful creation of life, and a wonderful example of the way God can work in our lives. I'm very excited to meet her/him!

Yo, what's up!  I'm Dylan and I'm in 7th grade and I like playing basketball.  When Penelopoppy gets here, I'll be in 8th grade.  Yeah, I said Penelopoppy!

I was the one that gave the baby it's name.  I don't think they're gonna keep it though.  Here's why I think it will be cool to have a baby:
  • I can play with it and talk to it
  • I can spoil it and buy it lots of things
I'm looking forward to October.  Maybe I can take the new baby trick-or-treating!
.
Hi, my name is Kelsey and I'm in the sixth grade at Barry Elementary.  By the time my baby sister gets here, I'll be in Junior High!

On October 27th, I'm going to be an older sister.  My Mom and Dad are going to have a baby.  I am super excited!  When I learned about it, I knew it would be the hardest secret I ever had to keep.  As my Mom says, "I was about to explode"!

When I found out, I was soooo happy.  I was so happy that I cried!  When my Mom has this baby, I will be the happiest person alive.  Oh, and I will be the baby's favorite older sibling.

Meet "Penelopoppy". She/he will be the newest member of the Moon Platoon.  We can't wait to fill this picture frame with baby's first picture.
