Is She A Baby Or An Olympian...

I have decided that Penelopoppy is training to be in the Olympics and her favorite time to train is any time between 10pm and 6:30 am. Two nights ago we went to bed at about 10:00. I got so comfy and was about to fall asleep when boom: baby woke up.

Even Daddy Doesn't Mind Shopping...

This past weekend Duffy and I had to go to Albuquerque. We hadn’t really bought anything for Penelopoppy so we decided to go to Carters and pick out a few outfits together. If you are a parent of an infant or toddler and haven’t gone to that store, you need to. The prices are very reasonable and their sales are amazing....

And Bear Did The Cha, Cha, Cha...

I know, I’ve gotten so far behind on my updates. Sorry, we have been crazy busy over the last few weeks. I think things are finally slowing down so I should be back to it on a regular basis.  In the past few weeks I have realized how loved Penelopoppy (nooo, she still doesn’t have a name) is, especially by her siblings...

One Says "Boy", The Rest Say...

Tomorrow is the BIG day! Tomorrow we will find out if we’ll be buying pink or blue and I cannot wait! Duffy and I are both predicting that it’s a girl. I can’t explain why but when I think of our little Penelopoppy, I think of a girl. Of course, we’ll be happy either way, but girl is what we’re thinking. I’ve asked my kids what their predictions are and they are a bit mixed…

This is called “placenta brain”.  Scientifically they say it happens because the brain shrinks 3-5% during pregnancy, or there is the theory that it is caused by hormones during pregnancy. Others believe that it is just a period of time where the mother-to-be is reflecting inward and the introspection and problem solving of the future is what causes the mental fuzziness. Huh?  No one can really tell you what causes it, but it really does happen.  Ask every pregnant woman who is losing her mind, or screwing up dinner. Like ME, for example…

And It Happened, Just A Little Flutter...

Last night was an amazing night. I finally felt Peneloppy move!  It was so surreal.  It all happened after Duffy and I went to bed and we were just lying there, talking about this and that.  All of a sudden, faloomp!  I was so excited and I wanted Duffy to feel it too.  Penelopoppy, however, had different plans…
