We finally made it to San Diego and our adventure has begun. What an adventure it has been already. Had about 3 panic attacks before we left Clovis. Gotta love the fear of flying! But we made it and we made it safely. Now, to rent a car...
We first had to rent a car. Man, that was and experience. We had reserved a small car online; it was going to be a Malibu or something similar. When we got to the rental facility, they wanted to upgrade us. How cool! For the low, low cost of two dollars extra, per day, we could “upgrade” our vehicle. Duffy said, “sure”, and now we’re driving around in a baby blue, Buick La Sabre. We come all the way to San Diego and we’re sporting a granny car! Oh, and we paid extra for it! Haha.
We’ve already indulged in many of our favorite foods. That’s what we do when we go out of town; that’s how we roll, lol. We’ve made stops at Rubio’s Fish Tacos, Cheesecake Factory (vanilla bean cheesecake is AMAZING!), and a new favorite called Phil’s BBQ.
I’m not telling Duffy, but I’m NERVOUS for tomorrow. I don’t know what to expect. All I know is that this is the first step in what will hopefully be a wonderful journey. We’re excited…and scared…and nervous…and happy. Now, we’re off to meet the man that holds our “baby future” in the palm of his hands (not mention Duffy’s…well…you know). It’s time to meet Dr. Bastuba.
