I am finally in my last week of my first trimester. I have to say it has gone really well so far. I am looking forward to the next trimester, so many exciting things. We get to find out the sex of the baby; I’ll start to feel the baby move; and I’ll finally get a baby bump. Although my family seems to think I’ve got that covered…
My husband and kids think that I officially have a “bump”. I don’t know if I’d call it a bump, it just looks like I ate a few too many cookies. I’ll let you be the judge of it. Apparently the dress in the picture really makes me look like I have a bump and, according to Maddie, it also makes me look very busty. LOL.
I did play a pretty good prank on the kids this week. I got them to believe that the baby is already moving. Here’s how it all went down:
I have a really strong pulse in my stomach; I always have. When I lie on my back my stomach moves from the pulse. So, I told my kids that you can see baby Penelopoppy’s heartbeat when I’m flat on my back. They got all excited and ran into my room to see. All three of them got really close to my stomach and looked really closely. Sure enough, it moved! They were all amazed because they could see the baby’s heartbeat. I’m thinking it’s going to be a really fun 6 months with my gullible children.
