10 Weeks: Look At The Little Teddy Bear...

Today was an AMAZING day. We finally got to see our little angel baby. Penelpoppy is great and already a very active little one. Our ultrasound appointment was at Women’s Medical Center in Clovis.  Everyone there has been really nice. Paula was our ultrasound expert and it didn’t take her long to realize that I had followed the instructions given to me VERY well…
The instructions clearly stated that I needed to drink bunches of water and NOT go to the restroom before the appointment.  As Duffy will tell you, that is a very tall order for this gal!  When we went back to Paula’s room, she greeted us warmly and had me lie on the table.  She then dimmed the lights, fired up the Ultrasound machine, squeezed that jelly stuff all over my lower belly, and leaned in for the picture.  She very quickly pulled back and said, “Wow, your bladder is REALLY full”!  Ha…I told her that I followed the directions but I really needed to go.  She laughed and sent me on my way.
When I got back, the Ultrasound continued.  It was magical.  We heard the heartbeat.  It was 177 beats per minute. I know, some people think that means it’s a girl, but I’m sticking with my prediction. It was such a great feeling to see that adorable little baby on the screen. It looks like a little teddy bear with cute little arms and cute little legs.  This finally feels real! I truly am on cloud nine. I’m so blessed and so lucky to have such a wonderful man by my side. My kids are pretty awesome too.
The kids were excited to see the pictures, especially Kelsey. She was gone all afternoon and wasn’t going to be home until after church. She got home at 8 and ran in yelling, “where are the pictures”? It’s funny because she had a big test at church, yet when I asked her how it went, all she said was, “that’s not important, I really want to see the pictures”!  It was adorable. She is the one in the family who never gets tired of talking about Penelopoppy. She will be a great big sister.
Overall, today was a great day. I was reminded of my many blessings, including my new little blessing. God is good!

Here's our little Penelopoppy.  Isn't HE (or she) adorable!
I love, love, LOVE this picture!  Look at little Penelopoppy...like a little teddy bear.
