My First 5K At 15 Weeks...

I am 15 weeks today and I had an amazing morning. I ran my first 5k. I took up running (okay, it’s more like jogging) about a year ago. My goal was to run a 5k, which isn’t far, but it was a good goal.  My original plan was to run one back in February, but after hurting my tailbone skiing I was unable to do so. Today, I succeeded.
Crossing the finish line.
I decided that this 5K would be a perfect one to try. Well, I ended up getting pregnant sooner than expected, but was told by the prenatal nurse that I could keep running as long as it was comfortable. I have been running throughout my pregnancy; I’m not ready to give it up yet.
This morning I woke up and wasn’t really feeling in the mood, but decided that I could do it. I went to Hillcrest and ran the 5k. I ran the whole thing in 33 minutes and 20 seconds. I was very proud of myself. Overall, I’d rank this as a great day!!!
